The Pap Corps’ Historic $50 Million Dollar Pledge
In 2016, The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research, proudly announced a $50M, 10-year pledge to support the expansion of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Deerfield Beach facility. In honor of the gift, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center named the facility The Pap Corps Campus. The gift by The Pap Corps will be used to fund research in cancer epigenetics, cancer control, and tumor biology.
“This gift from the Pap Corps is historic in its magnitude and will be transformative in its scope, helping to fund cancer research at Sylvester that will save lives in our community,” added Dr. Stephen Nimer, director of Sylvester.
Pap Corps President, Linda Moses stated, “Sylvester’s focus and commitment to finding more effective treatments for cancer patients in South Florida has consistently aligned perfectly with our mission and this is what has driven and sustained our partnership to this day. And it is precisely Sylvester’s and the University of Miami’s bold vision, represented by the expansion of what is now known as Sylvester Deerfield Beach The Pap Corps Campus, that ensures our partnership will continue for many years to come.”
