About Us
Cancer touches most of our lives, whether through a parent, a child, a dear friend, or our own diagnosis.
At The Palm Isles Chapter of The Pap Corps, we envision a world without cancer. Toward that end we raise funds for essential research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, Southeast Florida’s only National Cancer Institute - designated center.
Our name comes from Dr. George Papanicolau, who pioneered the Pap Test for cervical cancer and led the Miami Cancer Center that was the precursor of today’s Sylvester.
Founded in 1993, the Palm Isles Chapter has more than 500 members. We hold monthly educational meetings with social lunches; an annual Walkathon; card parties; a fashion show; musical fundraisers, monthly bingo and much, much more.
We welcome you to join us in our mission – and meet neighbors and new friends who share a similar passion for Finding The Cure.
