Ann and Anwar from the Polo Club Chapter

Ann was born in the Bronx then moved to Long Beach, Long Island where started her career as a financial controller, then moved into the real estate field. She has been an active member of the Polo Club’s Pap Corps chapter for many years. As a breast cancer survivor, she is confident that she will conquer her latest challenge—a rare form of thyroid cancer with the help of advancements by the medical community and Sylvester’s treatments. Ann began dancing 20 years ago and loves dancing with her husband Anwar, who was born in Bagdad, Iraq. He came to the University of Denver on scholarship at the age of 16. Having been forced to leave Iraq with none his belongings in 1950, Anwar applied for citizenship as a displaced person and was drafted in the US Army. Upon graduation from college, he formed a high-tech company (Anorad) which was in the forefront of semiconductor manufacturing for computers and phones. He is a prostate cancer survivor and is a proud member the Pap Corps. Ann and Anwar hope you will vote for them!
