Boca Friends Chapter
For over 60 years, The Pap Corps has been working tirelessly to ensure that those affected by cancer are given the care they need and deserve while also championing research efforts to find a cure. What all started in 1928 with Dr. George Papanicolaou, an industry leader in early cancer detection and the originator of the Pap smear, The Pap Corps has gone on to raise funds for all types of cancer research and successfully continues to this day. After recently celebrating its 70th anniversary, The Pap Corps has now grown to over 20,000 women and men across 51 chapters throughout South Florida, raising over $110 million for cancer research. For the last 20 years, the Boca Friends Chapter has been working hard to do our part as champions for The Pap Corps to continue its long term success. From prosperous fundraising events and helping spread the word about early cancer screenings to providing support and help to those affected by cancer in
their community, we will stop at nothing to aid in the fight against cancer. However, Paula Karp, past president of the Boca Friends Chapter, explains how their continued success is all thanks to the induction of their current president, Terry Rosen. “Terry has continued to open her arms to bring in more and more people who have known about us, heard about us, or maybe didn’t know about us but who are very willing to be involved,” says Paula. The Boca Friends Chapter is also an open chapter, so anyone interested in joining Boca Friends is welcome. Whether you live in Broken Sound or just in Boca Raton, the chapter is always looking for new members to help raise money and spread the word about fighting to end cancer.
