Meet The Pap Corps’ Board of Directors


SUSAN DINTER

Chair

Susan started on the Board in June, 2018 after serving several years on the Ponte Vecchio Chapter Board. Susan served her Chapter for over eight years as Vice President of Fundraising, two years as Executive Vice President, two years as President and four years as Co-President. In June, 2019, she became the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors. And, in June, 2020, she became the Chair of the Board. She brings to The Pap Corps, 13 years of experience at UPS’ Technology Group as a Contracts Manager negotiating telecommunications, hardware and software contracts with other Fortune 500 companies. She joined Pap in 2006 when she moved to Florida and believes strongly in Pap’s mission and their vision. She is proud to be a part of such a great organization and to serve with this great Board.


Diana Vertuccio

Secretary

Diana and her husband, Vincent, moved to Florida in 2003. She was a Charter member of The Greater Boynton PAP Chapter and became a Life member in 2005. Upon moving to Valencia Reserve in 2011, Diana was instrumental in forming a new PAP chapter Her professional career was focused on educating our youth. She led a team of Professional Developers at the District level before concluding her career as an Assistant Principal. After serving on the Valencia Reserve PAP Board for 10 years, she considers serving as a Director a privilege and an opportunity to help the organization continue to flourish.


MITCH LESHIN

Treasurer

Originally from Ohio, Mitch has been a South Florida resident for 38 years. He and his late wife Linda are proud parents of three sons. He brings experience of a 30yr career in communications engineering as both practitioner and manager developing products for first responders and commercial users. Mitch is a member of The Pap Corps’ Finance Committee and Men’s Initiative Steering Committee. He is a life member of The Pap Corps and active participant in the Valencia Reserve Chapter.


Beverly Berkowitz - Officer-At-Large

BEVERLY BERKOWITZ

Director

As a Board member, Beverly led the Business Development Committee and was a driving force to make The Pap Corps first year as a participant in the Dolphins Cancer Challenge a success. She is the co-founder of the Valencia Pointe Chapter and worked closely with the President and other officers to ensure the chapter’s fundraising event successes. She has many years of experience as a business administrator for a 100-year old Park Avenue law firm and as the Vice President of the Southeast Region for an international company.


ELLIOTT BOOTH

Director

After a 10-year career in broadcasting, Elliott entered the corporate world, which resulted in being named Vice President Sales of two of the nation’s largest printing corporations. His accomplishments included the creation of national sales forces, building of nationwide businesses, turn-a-rounds of other business segments, new product development and introduction to the marketplace, along with the production of corporate videos and sales promotion aides. In addition, he was heavily involved in strategic planning and forecasting.

Elliott attended Boston University and the Cambridge School of Broadcasting. He is a member of The Pap Corps New Chapter Committee, Development Committee, Chapter Relations Committee, and Men’s Initiative Steering Committee. Elliott and his wife, Sandy, have been full time residents of Florida for 24 years, have been life members of The Pap Corps for 22 of those years and are active in the Valencia Reserve chapter.


NANCY GOLDSTEIN

Director

After Nancy served twenty-one years as the founder and Director of the Ruth and Edward Taubman Early Childhood Center at B’nai Torah Congregation in Boca Raton, she became a passionate member of The Pap Corps. Volunteering and charity work has always been an important part of her life. She has been a member of the Boca Pointe Chapter for ten years and has served as the Vice President of Fundraising, working closely with the members to create many successful fundraising events and activities. She looks forward to the many future challenges and opportunities while working with the Board of Directors.


SHARON GOODHART FELDMAN

Director

Originally from New York Sharon lived in Hawaii for 30 years prior to moving to South Florida as a full-time resident. After a career as a high school foreign language teacher then managing an emergency medical group, Sharon established her own travel agency. Volunteer work has been at the forefront of Sharon’s life, as a Make A Wish volunteer, etiquette teacher for underprivileged students, President of the Hawaii Chapter of Hadassah and now a proud volunteer with The Pap Corps. Sharon has held various positions on the Chapter level before joining the Board of Directors.


Doreen Heisler, Ph.D. – Officer-At-Large

DOREEN HEISLER, Ph.D.

Director

Dr. Heisler, has served for many terms on the board of directors.  She is an Organizational Psychologist and has worked with several New York companies to develop strategies and techniques to impact organizational change. She was a co-founder of the Aberdeen Chapter in 2008 and served on its board of directors in several positions. Doreen hopes to improve the organization's productivity, its innovation, and brand recognition.


Paula Karp

Director

I am Paula Karp and I am happy to be serving on The Pap Corps Board of Directors. I am Past President of the Boca Friends Chapter here at Broken Sound. I served as President for eleven years. The Pap Corps has become a passion of mine and I hope to be an asset in my new position.


NANCY LEVINSOHN

Director

Nancy and her husband Alan moved to Florida in 1993. Nancy was in the travel industry for her career until she retired in 2013.  Nancy has six children and 13 grandchildren. Nancy became a member of The Pap Corps in 2003 and became a Life Member in 2010.  She served as President of the Addison Reserve Chapter of the Pap Corps from 2013 to 2018.  Nancy also served on the 65th Anniversary Gala Luncheon Committee and the 2019 Footloose and Cancer Free Dance Committee.  Nancy is honored to serve as a Director at a time of advancements and discovery in cancer research made possible in part by The Pap Corps.


Ilene Rallo

Director

Ilene Rallo was born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in East Meadow, NY, and raised her two children, Elyse and Craig in Bellmore, NY. She has four fabulous grandchildren. Ilene and her husband Joel, to whom she has been married for 56 years, owned the baby furniture chain Lewis of London for many years, later transitioning to kitchens, baths, custom furniture and home renovations in Freeport, NY until their retirement in 2009. After relocating to Florida in 2009, Ilene became Vice-President of NCJW (National Council of Jewish Women) in charge of community outreach programs. Her first position with her chapter of The Pap Corps was as community liaison, three years later transitioning to Executive Vice-President. She served as Co-President of the Greater Boynton chapter for the past six years, passing the torch to a new President a year after she was appointed to The Pap Corps Board of Directors.

Ilene has served on the Napa Valley wine trip committee and the 70th Anniversary planning committee. She is a member of the CDC (Development Committee), the Surviving in Style planning committee, and is co-chair of the CRC (Chapter Relations Committee.)


Lynne Schneider

Director

Lynne and her husband moved to Florida in 2012 where she became involved with The Pap Corps on a very personal basis. Her first grandchild was born with Rhabdomyosarcoma a very rare cancer especially in a newborn infant. The head doctor at Alex’s Place became her mentor for the first year of her grandson’s life and Lynne became indebted to Sylvester. She became Vice President of Fundraising for two years and then Co-President of the Gleneagles Chapter, a position she has held for 7 years. Lynne was the Regional Director for MetLife Brokerage for 8 years, the only woman in a male dominated group. She then joined John Hancock Life Insurance as a Brokerage Director where she was the leading sales manager for three straight years. She is delighted and honored to be serving as a member of the Board of Directors and hopes to be able to continue to bring innovative fundraising ideas to the Pap organization and be an integral part of their mission to one day make this a world without Cancer.
